I still attend parties and have fun without the alcohol. It all depends on your RAs and if they want to enforce those rules or not. BC has a 3 strike policy which results in housing probation which really is a joke. Beyond a fine issued by the municipal authorities, BC didn't do anything.
Students often run to MIT for parties- that's how much of a party school we are. And parth, you can have plenty of fun without having to binge drink. And as I've mentioned collegr, there is definitely a "work hard, play hard" mentality. Is it really that preppy? Are the guys and girls good looking?

That's all I have to say. BC has also always been my top! However, it's for different reasons. While BC has done scchool good job of diversifying itself over the years I blston understand why BC specifically gets this reputation for not being diverse when its just as or bodton more diverse than many other top, well-known schools Keep in mind this is just a personal thing, because most people would say this is a great quality. I just get sick of so many people being so over-achieving.

There are interesting, unique, and different people here. People here are smart and do great things! The location is really great!
I read on an earlier thread that it seems so isolated or whatever. I've also heard people say it shouldn't be called "Boston" College because it's not in Boston. Most people probably don't realize that Boston College straddles the Newton-Boston border, and the parts that are not in the City is boston college a good party school Boston are literally right across the street. People seem to only think of downtown Boston as actual Boston, when in fact that's not the case: that's only where the wealthy people go to shop.

The majority are so approachable, an you don't feel like you're taking away from their research time. You really couldn't ask for a better situation. Sure, it has some negatives, but what school doesn't? Yes, you will run into the jocks, the girls that religiously wear skinny jeans tucked into Ugg boots with a North Face, and downright immature people. But there are so many more people here who bring something different. This is no more of a party school than any other school I've been to.
